Monday: Students turned in Embedded Assessment 1.1 (Personal Narrative). In anticipation for the Formal Flipped Fishbowl, students participated in a practice fishbowl based on the text, "Thank You, M'am."
Homework: Read AND signpost a chapter of Flipped, "Flipped"
Tuesday: Students practiced another fishbowl in anticipation of tomorrow's Formal Assessment based on the text, "My Superpowers."
Homework: Read and signpost a chapter of Flipped, "The Basket Boys"
Wednesday: Students wrote 3 open-ended questions that they could potentially use in the fishbowl and then participated in their Formal Fishbowl based on Flipped.
Homework: Self-reflection (on the back of the Fishbowl rubric) due for tomorrow. Answer all questions honestly, completely, and in complete sentences. (An extra copy can be downloaded below)
Thursday: Collection of Self-Reflections. Students unpacked and sorted key terms for Embedded Assessment 1.2 (Writing a Short Story).

Friday: Class watched Lion King clips for story elements. Groups created plot diagrams based on Lion King, then created plot diagrams based on movies that the group have seen or a made up story.
