Homework: Read AND signpost a chapter of Flipped, "Flipped"
Tuesday: Students practiced another fishbowl in anticipation of tomorrow's Formal Assessment based on the text, "My Superpowers."
Homework: Read and signpost a chapter of Flipped, "The Basket Boys"
Wednesday: Students wrote 3 open-ended questions that they could potentially use in the fishbowl and then participated in their Formal Fishbowl based on Flipped.
Homework: Self-reflection (on the back of the Fishbowl rubric) due for tomorrow. Answer all questions honestly, completely, and in complete sentences. (An extra copy can be downloaded below if you lost yours)
Thursday: Collection of Self-Reflections. Students unpacked and sorted key terms for Embedded Assessment 1.2 (Writing a Short Story). Class began viewing Lion King clips for story elements.

Friday: Class finished viewing Lion King clips for story elements. Groups created plot diagrams based on Lion King, then created plot diagrams based on movies that the group have seen or a made up story.
